When they talk about “From Madrid to the stars”, it’s not just a saying. What is there beyond our stunning city? However, thinking about it… Why not see Madrid from the sky? Here are five places where you can enjoy our city from a bird’s eye view.

  • From the top of Palacio de Cibeles, the current City Hall of Madrid, the views are stunning: Gran Vía, Paseo del Prado, the museum Golden Triangle… A luxury that you can’t afford to miss from the viewpoint. It costs 2 euros to access it but it’s well worth it, we can guarantee it.
  • If you ask a local for a viewpoint from where to see the city from up high, all of them will tell you about the famous Moncloa Lighthouse as their preferred option. The views of the Chamberí district and the University City from its 295 ft. are quite simply unforgettable.
  • The rooftop of Círculo de Bellas Artes is one of the coolest spaces that you can find in the Spanish capital. The panoramic view of the city centre is just stunning and lying down on the grass areas while you relax with music and enjoy a cocktail is a must for all tourists. The price? 3 euros to go up to the rooftop or 2 euros if you have a student card. Enjoy!
  • If you would like to see the view of the famous Schweppes building sign on Gran Vía and the most traditional postcard shot of this avenue, the best place to do it is in the café of the El Corte Inglés department store in Callao. It is an experience to remember and, meanwhile, you can also enjoy all the gourmet food they serve there.
  • If you’re tired of buildings and the big city, we recommend watching the sunset from the Temple of Debod. Casa de Campo and the golden sun going down the horizon… What more could you ask for?
