La mejor cartelera teatral de Madrid

No matter whether you live in Madrid or are travelling to the Spanish capital, you cannot miss the incredible range of theatre plays on offer right now, one of the most complete arrays in Europe. The new season has kicked off in September with several surprises and shows that are bound to make an impression. Curtain up!
Theatre in Madrid
Perhaps the most anticipated novelty is El Sirviente (‘The Servant’), the first performance of which was on 23 September. Based on the famous 1963 movie by Joseph Losey. A play that explores the characteristics of class society and the way sex can be used to manipulate, empower and submit.
Other highlights include El gran mercado del mundo (‘The Great Market of the World’), a modern take on Calderón de la Barca’s auto sacramental; El curioso incidente del perro a medianoche (‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time’), which is returning to the stage for a second season, one of the most highly acclaimed shows in recent years; and Alguien voló sobre el nido del Cuco (‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’), which showcases an odd interpretation of modern times based on a great metaphor.
Señora de rojo sobre fondo gris, Parque Lezama, La madre que me parió, La vida es sueño, Ponte en mi lugar, Orgasmos, Juntos, Coitus, la comedia, Intocables, Lo nunca visto, Como un viento helado, La fuerza del cariño, Invencible, Mundo Obrero, La sonata de Kreutzer, Cuerpo fronterizo, Franito, ClimaX, Odio, Escenas de la vida conyugal and Monsieur Goya, una indagación are all titles that will fill the streets of Madrid with art, life, colour, humour and drama during the next season.
Prices start at €12 for plays in the afternoon, starting from 17:00. The area with the most theatres is the one near Sol, on streets such as Gran Vía or La Latina. Our hotel is right in the heart of these areas, a privileged location for enjoying the best the stage has to offer. This autumn, curtains will rise all over Madrid.
