Sabatini, one of the best gardens in Madrid

Madrid has many interesting tourist sites that make it a perfect destination. Among them are the Sabatini Gardens, located in front of the Royal Palace, which makes them a perfect addition to any of our walks through the city centre. From our hotel it is a pleasant walk of less than twenty minutes.

Magical gardens

For many, these gardens have something magical that makes them unique. They were built in 1930 on the site previously occupied by the royal stables and are named after the architect who designed them, Francesco Sabatini. Their style is neoclassical and in them you find well-pruned hedges, statues, fountains and very symmetrical patterns.

They are right in front of the north façade of the Palace, which makes them even more beautiful. These gardens are one of the most important sites on the routes of the old centre of Madrid, El Madrid de los Austrias. A must-see for history lovers visiting Madrid.

This small oasis in the middle of the big city is a welcome escape from the noise of the cars and the atmosphere created by the big buildings of Gran Via. These peaceful gardens become a great opportunity to spend a few minutes relaxing or reading in the heart of Madrid.

We can also visit the Royal Palace, the largest in Western Europe and one of the largest in the world. Its collections include historical treasures such as the royal crown of Spain, great paintings by Caravaggio, Velázquez, Goya, Rubens and José de Ribera and a set of instruments made by the famous luthier Antonio Stradivari.

A unique sunset in Madrid

One of the best things about the Sabatini Gardens is that they are amazing at any time of day. However, we recommend to always go during the evening. The experience is second to none, as at this time the twilight fills every inch of the gardens.

Here you will see one of the best sunsets in the capital. Remember to take your camera to capture the moment forever. The orange tones give make the landscape look beautiful, along with the spectacular presence of the Royal Palace. It is a unique experience in Madrid that should not be missed.
